Standard Concrete Mix

Modern concrete mix designs can be complex. The design of a concrete, or the way the weights of the components of a concrete is determined, is specified by the requirements of the project and the various local building codes and regulations.

DURABILITY

The design begins by determining the “durability” requirements of the concrete.

WEATHER CONDITIONS

These requirements take into consideration the weather conditions that the concrete will be exposed to in service, and the required design strength.

COMPRESSIVE STRENGTH

The compressive strength of concrete is determined by taking standard-cured cubes samples. We offer compressive strengths that range from 10 MPa and 60 MPa which can be specified when ordering. Standard Mix is manufactured with a slump of between 75 and 100mm.

SPECIAL REQUESTS

We can design and supply custom mixes incorporating special additives, provided sufficient lead time is given. These additives may include materials such as silica fume, bentonite, fibers, polystyrene, grog aggregate (for refractory concrete), and more.

Pump Mix

Pumping allows for the uniform placement of concrete into areas not easily accessible by other means. It is advisable to use pump mix in concrete columns or in similar confined spaces to achieve better flow, compaction and finishing. The same compressive strengths are achieved as with normal concrete due to specific design for pumping. Pump Mix is manufactured with a slump of between 100 and 120mm.

KEY FEATURES

  • Optimal flow and consistency for pump applications
  • Enhanced strength and durability for long-lasting performance
  • Controlled setting time for efficient project planning
  • Suitable for a range of structures, including walls and slabs

APPLICATIONS

Pump Mix Concrete is ideal for high-rise buildings, large slab floors, bridges, and other projects requiring effective concrete placement via pumps. It is suitable for use in both horizontal and vertical pumping applications, ensuring smooth and efficient pouring in hard-to-reach areas.

WHY CHOOSE THIS PRODUCT?

Pump Mix Concrete offers dependable strength and workability, making it the preferred choice for high-performance projects. Its ease of pumping reduces labor and time, ensuring smooth application even in complex designs, and ultimately resulting in high-quality, resilient structures.

SPECIAL REQUESTS

We can design and supply custom mixes incorporating special additives, provided sufficient lead time is given. These additives may include materials such as silica fume, bentonite, fibers, polystyrene, grog aggregate (for refractory concrete), and more.

No Fines

No Fines Concrete is a unique, lightweight concrete that excludes fine aggregates, creating a highly permeable structure perfect for drainage and lightweight construction. This mix is ideal for applications requiring enhanced permeability and reduced weight, while still delivering sufficient structural strength.

KEY FEATURES

  • High permeability for efficient drainage
  • Lightweight and easy to handle
  • Thermal and acoustic insulation properties
  • Eco-friendly option with reduced material requirements

APPLICATIONS

No Fines Concrete is commonly used in applications such as sub-base layers, retaining walls, landscaping projects, and drainage systems. Its unique properties make it especially suited for structures requiring efficient water flow and reduced overall weight.

WHY CHOOSE THIS PRODUCT?

No Fines Concrete is an excellent choice for sustainable construction with minimal resource usage, and it offers natural drainage capabilities. Its lightweight nature and insulation properties make it a versatile, efficient option for projects where standard concrete may not be ideal.
